The LWOC Lodge is located on five acres of land on the shores of Branched Oak Lake leased from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. In addition to the building itself, which has a fireplace, deck overlooking the lake, small kitchen area and other amenities, the property includes a Frisbee Golf course, horse shoe pits, a sand volleyball court, playground equipment, picnic shelter with electrical outlets, docks offering access to the lake and plenty of room for activities and events.
The property is offered year around, at no charge to any youth group who wishes to use it for their events and activities. About 1,500 to 2,000 scout troops, church youth organizations, and other youth agencies take advantage of this opportunity each year.
The Lodge and property at Branched Oak Lake are available free of charge to any youth group wishing to use it for their activities and events.
Camping space and a picnic shelter are also available. Resources available include a frisbee golf course, horseshoe pits, sandlot volleyball, docks to access the lake, a large fire ring with benches, plenty of space for games and activities and some playground equipment.
The Lodge itself has a fireplace, kitchen sink, microwave and refrigerator, and tables and chairs to use inside. A large deck looks out over the lake and has picnic tables and a charcoal grill.
The lower level of the Lodge has another room with a wood burning stove and open out onto a concrete patio on the ground level.
The process is simple.
